The Animated Series' Showrunner Has Seen Your Second Season Predictions — And She Has Good News

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel launches on Prime Video soon, and fan speculation has been widespread.

Season 1 introduces a diverse group of characters living within Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds accompanied by songs about their clashes, and establishes tense rivalries and angsty, affectionate connections that drive fan obsession.

The community's expectations for season 2 differ greatly, but certain themes emerge over and over: Will Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the creator commented earlier this year. "However I believe that me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That could imply viewers have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how quickly the new season moves, and how many of what they're anticipating unfolds now.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some incredible reveals, some really cool backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about season 2 — particularly in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a couple people make a bingo card about the new season," she mentions. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've already completed a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on the streaming service on October 29.
